2. Description of Service

EnergyMetrics provides access to publicly sourced global energy datasets in downloadable formats (JSON, CSV, XLSX). Data is sourced primarily from the World Bank Open Data programme and is provided for informational, research and educational purposes only.

3. User Accounts

Some features require registration. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate registration information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised account use

4. Permitted Use

You may use EnergyMetrics and its datasets for:

• Personal research and analysis
• Academic and educational projects (with attribution to original sources)
• Non-commercial reporting and journalism
• Commercial analysis and applications, provided original data sources are acknowledged

5. Prohibited Use

You may not:

• Attempt to circumvent access controls or scrape the platform in bulk without permission
• Republish or resell datasets as your own original data without attribution
• Use the platform in any way that violates applicable local, national or international law
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other user accounts or backend systems
• Use automated tools to overwhelm or disrupt platform services

6. Data Attribution Requirement

When using data downloaded from EnergyMetrics in publications, reports or applications, you must attribute the original data source (e.g. "Source: World Bank Open Data, World Development Indicators"). EnergyMetrics should be acknowledged as the data platform where the data was accessed.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform and all datasets are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. See our full Disclaimer for details on limitation of liability and no-warranty provisions.

8. Termination

EnergyMetrics reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to any user account at any time if these Terms of Use are violated or if the platform is misused. Users may delete their account at any time by contacting support.

9. Changes to Terms

These Terms of Use may be updated periodically. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
